Getting started with IIIF

In many situations you don't even need to know that you are using IIIF. If all goes well, you can view high-resolution images with annotations in a viewer or other environment and get on with your work.

These pages aim to introduce some concepts and tools so that you can do more with images, annotations and manifests, i.e. so that you can go beyond the viewer.
