The search interface is still being developed, but it is functional:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lab.library.universiteitleiden.nl\/abnormal-hieratic\/search.php\">Search the <\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lab.library.universiteitleiden.nl\/abnormal-hieratic\/search.php\">content<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/lab.library.universiteitleiden.nl\/abnormal-hieratic\/search.php\"> of the papyri!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note: the search engine that WordPress provides (through the <\/strong><em><strong>Search<\/strong><\/em><strong> box) does not return the same information.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each word on each papyrus has been marked separately and has been indexed in a full-text index. For most words, there is a transcription in Hieroglyphs, a transliteration, the type of the word and a translation. For all words, we also index the papyrus label (e.g. &#8220;P. Louvre E 7852&#8221;), among other properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, the query you enter is used to search all fields. This makes it easy to get results, although you may limit what fields are searched by using this syntax:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>field_name:query<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that there are no spaces around the colon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Available (useful) field names are<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>transliteration<\/li><li>translation<\/li><li>type (type of word)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Example searches using this query syntax<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>translation:field<\/li><li>transliteration:I\u0357mn<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nIt is possible to search within the texts of papyri, thanks to the annotating of each and every word.
